DANIEL SHERSTY It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, Dan Shersty, July 28, 2011. His strength and courage will forever be our inspiration. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Dan was predeceased by his parents, Phyllis McDonald and Toffield Shersty, as well as his brother Frank McDonald. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Nicole Bedford (Tony), brothers Larry (Gladys), Rick (Faith), Greg, Andy (Linda), Tim, his three grandchildren Zack, Alex and Trey and numerous nieces and nephews. He will especially be missed by his nieces Desiree (Dave), Miranda (Zoe), Brittany and Paige with whom he shared a special bond. Dan will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family, his music and his love of animals. Dan was employed for 25 years with Manitoba Housing Authority as Resident Manager and took great pride in his career. A memorial service will be held at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler, Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society are gratefully appreciated.
